Salt shack is a hidden gem! Walked in with a big group about an hour before closing and they took us in ever so rapidly. Our server was great and so patient with us. It was a cold night so we sat inside, but they have such a cute outdoors area in the back. I was told I had to try their wings and they did not disappoint plus it was a good portion! Also had their coconut shrimp which was delicious with their house made sauce on the side (better than Bahama breeze which is tough to say lol). Enjoyed all of this with a lovely mango pina colada. Wish this place was closer to home because they have so many unique items at great prices. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
Both of us got the mahi tacos for lunch. Blacken fish, Jamaican slaw, mango and more. Two tacos per plate. Dessert was Key Lime pie. Good on the very sweet side with a nice gram cracker crust. Nice view overlooking the lake. Service was good.
If you are in the Clermont or Minneola and want to have a nice dinner on the lake. Stop by the Salt shack and ask for Maddy, she was great! We had the chicken Tacos. They were over the top! Portions are excellent and the hospitality matches it. Over all 5 star experience.
The Salt Shack is the best restaurant we have ate at in Clearwater bar far! The food was perfectly prepared and the service was phenomenal. Our server Nathan was amazing and so caring. Both him and another server George who was equally kind and compassionate helped my daughter with heart burn who wasn't feeling good. The managers really know how to hand select their staff. We will be coming back and telling all our friends about the amazing food and service.
Just moved to the area and had the best experience here at the Salt Shack! My server Nathan and his coworker George took such good care of our table. They were so personable and attentive all night, taking care of our every need. Everything was amazing. We will definitely be back!
Went in at 12:30 on a Sunday with a group of 5. No wait time for a table inside. We were immediately given menus and asked if we would like to start off with any drinks. Service was IMMACULATE the whole time our party was there. My empty water cup was replaced with a full one in the blink of an eye, without me asking. I regret not asking for the servers name because she was so nice and attentive. She was petite, had a slick back, and her lashes done. Our party was there to celebrate a birthday and nothing is better than delicious food and attentive service! What we ordered: salad, soup, fish tacos, coconut shrimp, sangria. Stand outs: Literally everything was delicious. No complaints. Sangria was refreshingly good. Coconut shrimp were JUMBO shrimp. Stop by Salt Shack next time you're in a tropical vibe and want to be next to the water. It felt just like we were on the ocean. Loved it and will definitely return!
We decided to venture out and give this hidden gem in Clermont a try. It was a busy Sunday afternoon but we did not wait very long to get a table inside. Both hostesses and our server were friendly and attentive. We ordered the tuna tower, coastal crab cake sandwich, mahi tacos and the island chicken tacos. Everything was made to order with quality ingredients and with great flavor. We also had their margaritas and they were delicious! Refreshing and not overly sweet, sure made our late lunch more enjoyable. We will definitely be back soon!
You HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE! I had no idea that clermont could boast a beach restaurant on their lake and make it feel like you left the Orlando area all together ! We got there around noon and wanted to eat outside , they led us to this large patio area where we were able to sit at a round picnic table and look at the water. It was busy when we arrived! A ton of families , some sports teams, dogs , but everyone was having a blast! The beach area is nice for the kiddos and kids were swimming while the parents were enjoying the day with their drinks. It looked like the area we were in had a set up for live music so I would love to check it out. Our server was extremely attentive , I don't remember her name but she was great and got our drinks and food out to us very quickly despite it being so busy. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced . I think this is one of the best secrets in Orlando. It gives the beach vibe without driving to the coast.
This is a nice spot for fresh seafood with a beautiful lakefront view. It seems like the outdoor seating is in high demand because of this. When we arrived, we had the option of waiting 20 min for outdoor seating or no wait for indoors. We were hungry, so we went with the latter. The service was excellent and quick. Our waitress was attentive, but not overbearing. She also anticipated some of our dietary restrictions and noted that there was pork in one of the sauces, which we wouldn't have expected. She had great suggestions for alternatives and ensured we were accommodated. Now, on to the food. We had virgin piña coladas to drink -- delicious. We ordered the calamari as one of our appetizers. It tasted fresh and light. We also had the ceviche (first time). It was very tasty. I ordered the crab cake sandwich for my entree. It's not something I'd normally get but I was feeling adventurous. I enjoyed it more after requesting some extra citrus mustard (so good!) to pair with it. I got yuca fries as the side and those were the best I've had at a restaurant. My husband had the fire grilled fish of the day (pompano) and loved it. While the food was great, I think we would've enjoyed the ambiance outside a lot more. It was a bit loud and crowded for my liking indoors. So, I give this place 4.5 stars overall and look forward to visiting again.
This is like a Diners Drive In And Dives place for sure. It's got a KILLER View, you can bring your boat, your dog, your kids or whatever you want. Food is good and drinks are GREAT. There Pina Colada is 100% LEGIT. Service was good and no complaints here. We did have one thing off the menu that wasn't so good, but the manager and server took care of this right away with no worries. Def a go to for a cool date night, or if you just want to have some "Vibe" with your food and a killer view. The place DOES GET BUSY so be ready for a wait on peak times.
